Jiedong Zhang is a second-year undergraduate student in the Joint Program of Pharmaceutical Sciences at China Medical University and Queen’s University Belfast. His interdisciplinary research interests span multimodal AI, single-cell bioinformatics analysis, tumor immunology, and wearable biosensors, with a particular enthusiasm for the AI Virtual Cell models being developed at Westlake University’s Guomics Laboratory. He possesses hands-on skills in R-based bioinformatics analysis, immune cell experiments, and the synthesis of polymeric and organic materials. He is scheduled to join the Guomics Laboratory as a summer research intern from July to August 2026, working under RA Jiang Heng on the VIEW project.
