I am Qingyuan Xu, I graduated from Zhenhai High School in Zhejiang Province (2021-2024) and am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at Imperial College London. I am interested in cellular simulaKon. During a summer program at the University of GöPngen, I further enhanced my interest in modeling biological behaviors. I used an oscilloscope to detect electrical signals and used soQware to visualize their paTerns, simulaKng different environmental condiKons and observing the corresponding changes in fish behavior. This pracKcal training allowed me to understand the use of control systems and simulaKon modeling in biology – I believe these experiences can be translated into cellular modeling techniques in the laboratory.
